Meals from the Heart
One Family. One Meal. Once a Month.
Sometimes a simple homemade meal can mean so much!
St. Margaret Mary Parish is beginning Meals from the Heart, a ministry designed to bring a homemade meal and a little extra love to a parish family going through a difficult time.
Each month, one parish family will receive one homemade meal.
A family may be experiencing a surgery, illness, the loss of a loved one, the arrival of a new baby, being homebound, or simply going through a challenging season. This is one small way we can remind them that their parish family cares.
How It Works
Once a month, a homemade meal will be prepared and delivered to one parish family in need.
Families may request a meal for themselves, or a parishioner may recommend a family who could benefit.
When a family requests a meal, we will contact them first to ask about any dietary restrictions, allergies, or special food needs, including gluten-free meals or other foods the family cannot eat. We want to make sure the meal we provide is appropriate for their needs.
Would Your Family Like to Give a Meal?
Meals from the Heart is an opportunity for parish families to share their blessings with another family.
If you and your family would like to participate by preparing and providing a homemade meal, please contact Debbie Barbiero.
Debbie will coordinate the monthly meal and help make arrangements for preparation and delivery.
Would Your Family Benefit From a Meal?
If your family is going through a difficult time and would appreciate receiving a homemade meal, or if you know of a parish family who could benefit, please reach out to Debbie.
All requests will be handled privately and with care.
